The Gallatin Hotel 2510 Gallatin Ave., Nashville, TN

Situated in East Nashville – one of Music City’s coolest neighborhood, the church-turned Gallatin Hotel is the city’s newest addition of boutique hotel that is all about fun, quirky designs and giving back to the community.

Originally built in 1925 as the Eastside Church of Christ, the exterior of the building has been preserved but modernized. Daniels & Chandler led the architecture and design of the space, incorporating the work of more than a dozen Nashville-based makers and artists into the design. The colorful interior design pays homage to the fun-loving time period in which the building was constructed, making this an Insta-worthy destination from the moment you walk through the lobby door.
Why You’ll Love It Here…
The Feel-Good Factor: In partnership with Nashville Rescue MissionShowerUpRoom in the Inn and People Loving Nashville, The Gallatin donates a generous percentage of each night’s stays to these local non-profits who serve Nashville’s homeless and needy. To put it in numbers that are easier for a guest to understand, the average weekend stay provides 16 nights in a bed, 100 free showers and 30 meals. The hotel’s motto is Stay Here, Change Lives – and they mean it.

The Sleep: The 25 vibrantly-colored guest rooms and suites all come in various sizes and configuration, so whether you are planning a romantic getaway, a BFF weekend, or just want to shake up a work trip, there is something for everyone.  The rooms are all uniquely decorated but common themes are playful color block walls, ceilings and floors that mirror the lively atmosphere of the lobby. The rainbow-colored Quad Bunk Suite 116, for example, features 4 sets of full bunk beds (sleeps up to 8 people) and a spacious lounge area complete with a kitchenette. And the Insta-worthy King Room 319 features vibrant blue color-block walls that’s perfect for those who want to snap a pic! Please note that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator but does have a dumbwaiter for lifting luggage.

The WOW: Tech-savvy travelers will love the many amenities at The Gallatin.  Since the hotel literally just opened on May 14th this year, it has adapted to the COVID’s “new normal” with contactless check-in and check-out as well as no in-person staff interactions. Guests are emailed a code for access to the building. Although there is no on-site restaurants, the hotel’s courtyard is connected to Fat Bottom Brewery’s newest taproom. To celebrate its grand opening, the hotel is currently offering 30% off on all stays.
